Oh so absolutely wonderful, stunning stunning photos – coffee table book worthy, Louise!! And I couldn’t possibly choose between all those gorgeous colours! 😍More please 📸 !!!! And this is such a great reminder to be bold with colour and not get stuck in safe ruts because of what we’re used to. We painted our kitchen cabinets a yellow not dissimilar to one of those above, and it’s pure (albeit chipped!) sunshine even in the middle of the English winter!🌞 Love the outfits too, and that your mum’s Armani puffer!!!! 🤩 I thought it looked great in the top pic! (Also what a great shot!!)
Honestly I feel a book is calling, Louise!! I’d love to see pics of your favourite spots and colours around Rome, too! (I’ll stop now.😅) Happy, hopefully sunny weekend!! XX
I'm totally intrigued by the colorful Burano houses - and knowing that they have limits (by the gov't) as to the choice of color for each individual house - do they also have limited choices in fabrics and shutter colors?
Thanks Louise - and so glad you got to beloved Rizzardini!
Don’t be too hard on Rome - the friendliness, the food, real living generous down-to-earth locals, the warmth, the accent , the words (‘sticazzi’ 🤣🤣🤣): there’s a lot Rome has that I miss.
It's true, and I do love Rome, but I do really notice the courteous manner of those in the North! I'm still dreaming of Rizzardini! Normally I get to Venice after Carnevale so all the frittele have gone, but I made the most of them this time!
Happy (belated) birthday to you! Short trips are so hard to pack for...it always feels like too much or too little.
I stayed on Burano for a night when I was there, and I enjoyed myself, but like you said, it was quite odd to walk around and see people posing in front of people's homes! It was also so quiet at night that I wondered if anyone was home. The lace museum was quite interesting too... left me wanting to know more but just seeing the displays of antique lace was awesome.
Venice as a whole just closes down really early at night - it's a party city that likes an early night! I have never been to the lace museum, that's on my list for next time!

Thanks, Jenni! Everything Venice is so photogenic its hard to choose between them! My mum's coat is still going strong, and I love it so much!

To be honest I don't know about the fabrics, but I'm sure there is a colour code for the shutters!

True regarding the manner - I reckon as soon as you get to Tuscany it starts to change.
