I found Martin Pippin in the Apple Orchard when I was a child at the local library and was completely entranced by it ... later on I found The Little Bookroom and could imagine no place more heavenly. (When the nuns at school declared that if I really, really wanted something and really, really prayed for it, then God would give it to me, so I prayed for a Little Bookroom of my own, and now, looking around the office which I really, really need to tidy up, see that my prayer has at last been answered.) How thoroughly delicious to know that you're introducing to her to your daughter, that has put a definite spring in my step!
Already introduced to my daughter, now it's my granddaughter's turn! Our copy of The Little Bookroom dates from the 50s, and it is quite delicate, so I was thrilled to discover it is still in print, and have ordered another copy. How wonderful to have your own bookroom :)
